Gamification APPS

Blooket, Gimkit, Kahoot, and Wordwall transform lessons into interactive, playful experiences that increase motivation and participation. Gamification supports online engagement by providing immediate feedback and maintaining student interest through challenge and collaboration (Abdullah, Ismail, & Rahman, 2022; Civelek & Karatepe, 2021). Research consistently shows that game-based learning strengthens participation and supports deeper learning in digital environments (Pan, Lee, & Chen, 2024; Rimenda et al., 2025). For multilingual learners, gamified tasks reinforce vocabulary, repetition, and language practice, which are essential for academic development (Baker & Wright, 2021). When teachers incorporate culturally responsive and bilingual content, these tools promote additive bilingualism and increase student confidence (Espinosa & Ascenzi-Moreno, 2021). Gamification also counteracts the isolation that often accompanies virtual learning, helping build community and interaction (Wang & Chia, 2022).
